Little Mix star Perrie Edwards flies out to support Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Liverpool

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has received a boost ahead of the Champions League final - as girlfriend Perrie Edwards has jetted out to Madrid to support him.

Liverpool midfielder Oxlade-Chamberlain is hoping to be among the substitutes as the Reds take on Tottenham at the Wanda Metropolitano on Saturday night.

The England ace has endured a tough 13 months, having spent 11 of them on the sidelines with a serious knee injury.

Oxlade-Chamberlain ruptured the cruciate ligament in his knee in last year's Champions League semi-final against Roma, and has only managed two appearances this season since his return.

But he, and Little Mix partner Perrie are hoping to find some action in Madrid.

The songstress has flown into the Spanish capital and spent Friday night eating pizza with family and friends in a restaurant.

Perrie posted a short clip in Instagram where she panned around the table, with a LFC Madrid emoji in the corner of the video.

Speaking to Boogie and Arlene on Forth 1, Perrie said: "I'm going to be out in Madrid so if they win it's going to be party central and I am ready to party.

"I just want Alex to be a part of it, that's all I care about.

"I can't even tell you how nervous I am and I don't even know if he is going to play or not but my anxiety is through the roof.

"I just want them to win.

Perrie has made a score prediction for the final: "I'm going to say 3-0 no actually 3-1 to Liverpool, is that bad? I've just got a good feeling."

Asked whether she gets more nervous watching Oxlade-Chamberlain or performing live, Perrie said: "It's [the match] out of my control and I don't know what the outcome is going to be, but I at least want him to play a little part of it."
