Love Island's Chris Hughes and Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson jetted into Ireland this weekend for a romantic getaway to watch the action at Fairyhouse.
And Hughes' own horse Annie MC was scheduled to compete on the day, but due to a passport issue, he had to pull her out at the last minute.
Speaking to the Independent, he said: "It's very disappointing - but it is lovely to be here, Ireland is a wonderful place.
"Thank God I came over yesterday so I'd a bit of time to enjoy it, I'll watch the racing today but it's disappointing obviously.
"Annie was flying the flag for the British today, it seems to have been prematurely withdrawn.
"There's nothing too much to add - she has been vaccinated so she has all the right stuff, she just doesn't have the right stamp on her passport.
"It's something that you could prove in 10 minutes but she has been withdrawn without speaking to anyone involved in the horse, it's gutting."
Hughes was spotted sipping on a Guinness with Jesy from a balcony at the racecourse as they watched the rest of the action.
The pair were also seen strolling around Dublin, and stayed at the plush city centre Merrion Hotel during the trip.
