FORMER Little Mix star Jade Thirwall led impassioned chants against Reform UK, transphobia and arms sales during her first solo Glastonbury appearance.
Thirwall, who now performs under the name JADE, added a call-and-response section during her new track FUFN.
She told crowds: “I’m sure there are so many people you’d love to say f*** you [to] today … I’m gonna say some things and I want you to shout ‘f*** you’ back to me.”
The Newcastle singer jokingly listed things like “smelly toilets” before leading the crowd to shout “Reform, f*** you; welfare cuts, f*** you”.
She continued: “Transphobia, f*** you; silencing protests, f*** you; selling arms, f*** you; justifying genocide, f*** you.”

Social media users were divided on the performance, with one person on Twitter/X praising Jade: “Never seen her before, was mightily impressed. An extremely talented person.”
Another added: “Love Jade! This song is great, and so is what she’s doing with it - queen!”
Others questioned why she chose to criticise Reform, saying: “I’m not a Reform voter or supporter but I find it odd that it’s ‘F*** Reform’ and not the establishment Tory/Labour parties that have brought us to this point.”
However, fans were quick to point out her criticism of current Labour policies, including the welfare cuts which the UK Government is set to vote on this Tuesday July 1.
Jade rose to fame as part of internationally acclaimed girl group Little Mix, who were formed on the singing competition The X Factor in 2011.
The Newcastle-born pop star is set to release her debut album, That’s Showbiz Baby, in September and will play on the TRNSMT main stage on Sunday July 13.
