Perrie Edwards stood her ground as she was grilled on Jesy Nelson’s rumoured romance with Chris Hughes.
Edwards, 25, was asked about her Little Mix bandmate’s new romance after pictures of her and Hughes kissing and cuddling surfaced.
But Edwards, who is dating footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, refused to dish any gossip on her best friend’s love life, although conceded that he “seems really nice”.
“Nope, I haven’t [met him yet],” the singer told Roman Kemp on the Capital Breakfast Show.
She added: “He seems really nice but I can’t spill the beans on my best friend I’m afraid.”
Hughes shared a video of himself mixing cocktails on a night out, with Nelson’s distinctively tattooed hands on show.
It is thought that the pair struck up conversation on Instagram and are “taking things slowly for now”.
A source told The Sun: “It’s very early days but there’s definitely an attraction between them and they’re getting on really well.
“Jesy is enjoying her newly single status and spending time with Chris.”
Nelson, who is up for two BRIT awards with Little Mix, called it quits with Harry James last year. They had dated for just over one year.
