Leigh-Anne Pinnock has revealed that performing a cover of I Say a Little Prayer in a newly-released Christmas film will "forever be one of the proudest moments" of her life.
The 30-year-old singer made her acting debut in romantic comedy Boxing Day last year - in which stars alongside Aml Ameen, 36, who also wrote and directed the project.
The film follows author Melvin, played by Ameen, who returns home with partner Lisa (Aja Naomi King) and spends time with his family over the festive season.
Little Mix member Pinnock plays Georgia - herself a pop star - who is the ex-girlfriend of Melvin, with unresolved feelings between them jeopardising his new relationship.

The role saw the Brit Award winner perform three songs in the film, including an acoustic cover of Dionne Warwick 's I Say a Little Prayer, which was originally released in 1967.
The rendition is performed in front of an audience which includes ex Melvin, with his girlfriend Lisa sensing chemistry between them after walking into the room during it.
The scene was shared by Pinnock on Instagram last night, with the mum-of-two expressing her pride over the performance - which she described as a "special moment."
She explained: "This will forever be one of the proudest moments of my life. I'll never forget the pride on my mum and dad's faces when they were watching. My mum cried her eyes out because it's one of her favourite songs."

"This was such a special moment for me and to be able to act it out alongside @amilameenbaby was just an honour. We did that," the singer-songwrither further commented.
And taking the opportunity to address critics, who have previously questioned her vocal and acting abilities, she said: "And to anyone who once said I couldn't ... I DID that."

Ameen had previously posted the scene, describing it as one of his "proudest moments" as a director. He said that everyone involved did their part in "pulling this magic off."
He noted: "The change in lighting as the song develops, the jumping between actual reality, and that sense of euphoria one feels when deep connection transpires."
The comments section of Pinnock's post was flooded with praise. One fan wrote: "You did incredible. So proud of you."
Another wrote: "I was mesmerised in the cinema. Such a beautiful cover." Whilst a third added: "You killed this. I had goosebumps everywhere when I watched this moment."
Boxing Day is available to stream on digital platforms. The film has not yet been released in physical format in the UK.
