Little Mix's Leigh-Anne Pinnock chops Jesy Nelson from Madame Tussauds snap

Little Mix fans have defended the trio after Leigh-Anne Pinnock chopped Jesy Nelson out of the Madame Tussauds photo.

The band's four waxwork figures were unveiled as the famous museum in London on Wednesday portraying the 2019 Bounce Back video.

Despite quitting the pop group last year, Jesy was still immortalised in the waxwork alongside her former bandmates.

But on Instagram, the singer was cropped out of the photo by pregnant Leigh-Anne, causing a stir amongst fans.

Thankfully, some of their followers decided to stick by the Little Mix girls and jumped to their defence in the comments.

One person wrote: "Jesy left the goddam group, she didn’t want to speak of her friendship with little mix in interviews and they’re obvs not besties. Leave Leigh-Anne alone, her and Perrie and Jade have done nothing but be respectful for Jesy!"

A second argued: "Respect the fact that jesy doesn't want to be associated with the girls and leigh anne being respectful with it!"

"All this for some wax figures that jesy hasn’t even acknowledged ??? leigh-anne has done nothing wrong!" a third scolded.

The project started in early 2020 with the girls attending sittings and providing hundreds of measurements to make sure the waxworks are identical.

It has been revealed the Madama Tussauds team also worked closely with the group's stylists - Zack Tate and Jamie McFarland - who donated actual items that Little Mix had worn for the exhibition.

Jesy's inclusion in the Madame Tussauds waxwork comes more than eight months after the singer announced she was quitting the band after the "constant pressure" of stardom became too much.

In the new exhibition, Perrie and Leigh-Anne are seated in front of their bandmates in their colourful attire, while Jesy and Jade stand behind them. They are all dressed in iconic outfits that include actual pieces taken from the Bounce Back video.

Reflecting upon the new display, Leigh-Anne has admitted it was a 'dream come true' to have a wax figure created of the iconic band.

“This is a dream come true. The figures are amazing, and the Madame Tussauds London artists have captured us perfectly.

"We’re so excited to be joining the attraction's music zone and can’t wait to bring our family and friends down to see our figures for themselves," she said.
