Jesy Nelson is taking an extended break from Little Mix for medical reasons it has been confirmed.
Fans of the world's biggest girl group first raised concerns for Jesy when she was missing from the latter stages of the band's talent show The Search, both the performances and recorded interviews.
And then further concerns were mooted by Little Mix supporters when she was also missing from the group's appearance on Children in Need, with bandmates Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock appearing as a trio for a sketch with Dick and Dom.
On Wednesday evening, a statement was released by a spokesperson for Little Mix revealing Jesy would be missing in action for some time, less than a week after the former X Factor winners charted with their new album Confetti.
The statement read: "Jesy is having extended time off from Little Mix for private medical reasons.
"We will not be issuing any further comment currently and ask media to please respect her privacy at this time."
After Jesy was absent from The Search, worried fans flooded Twitter with message of concern and support.
One tweeted: "I hope Jesy Nelson is doing amazing. we love you Jesy @LittleMix please take care of your health and don't worry about anything, there are many people who love you a lot," another posted: "I send all my love and support to Jesy. I hope she recovers soon."
A third commented: "I really hope Jesy hasn't left. She's not even on the VTs."
