Little Mix's Graham Norton appearance sees emotional group break down after big announcement

A visibly emotional Little Mix broke down on Friday's Graham Norton Show, after announcing they'll be taking a break after their tour next year.

On Thursday, out of nowhere, the X Factor winning girl group, took to their social media channels to announce their intentions, posting: "We wanted to let you all know that after the Confetti tour in April/May next year we are going to be taking a break from Little Mix."

They continued: "We are not splitting up - Little Mix are here to stay."

The post ended: "We’re sisters and we’ll always have each other and you, the fans, in our lives. Little Mix is forever See you on tour! Jade, Leigh-Anne and Perrie."

Little Mix's announcement was, of course, a big talking point when Jade, Perrie and Leigh-Anne joined Graham.

The show is always recorded on a Thursday, meaning their appearance came in the immediate aftermath of their post.

And, as well as telling the BBC host that they felt it was "the right time" to take some time away from the group, they performed recent single Between Us.

The song's lyrics seem all the more poignant in the wake of the Black Magic group's announcement and the now trio struggled to hold it together while singing it.

They ended in a group hug as their emotions got the better of them, with viewers at home incredibly moved by what they were watching.

One tweeted: "Wow little mix on Graham Norton fkn balling my eyes oot," with another reacting: "did i just sob to little mix on graham norton? yes, yes i did. thank you little mix for the amazing journey you.ve taken us on nothing comes between us little mix."

A third posted: "Have I just sobbed watch @LittleMix on the Graham Norton show? Absolutely."
