Little Mix make 'dig' at Jesy Nelson as they kick off final ever live shows

Little Mix appeared to make a dig at their former friend Jesy Nelson as they kicked off their new Confetti tour.

Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall took to the stage in Belfast to kick off their final ever live shows, and proved they were stronger than ever, despite calling time on Little Mix.

Last year, the trio announced they were taking a break from the hugely successful girl group, insisting they weren’t splitting up, but were instead focusing on other aspects of their lives.

The girls were keen to reiterate that they were getting back together afte their temporary split, and the words “Little Mix 2011 - Forever” was featured prominently on giant screens in the SS Arena.

While Perrie, Leigh-Anne and Jade have tried to keep a dignified silence since Jesy quit the band in December 2020, only to launch a solo career just months later, the trio seemingly had a dig at their former band member.

According to The Sun, Jade told the audience: “We wouldn’t have got where we are today if it wasn’t for the love we have for each other. We have been through absolutely everything together."

“We have cried together. We have laughed together. We have seen each other naked. We really are the best of friends,” she continued.

“We are family now and that is going to remain for ever and ever, no matter what.”

But fans spotted some of the lyrics to their track Gloves Up were changed, as they omitted Jesy from the original song.

The track originally featured the words “legend of the four divas”, but instead, Leigh-Anne belted out “legend of the three divas”.

Jesdy shocked fans when she announced she was leaving the girl group after suffering anxiety, depression and vicious online bullying over her appearance.

She sparked controversy when she launched her solo career just months after quitting, and has since been embroiled in bitter spats with her former bandmates.

Last year, Jesy was accused of blackfishing, prompting Nicki Minaj - who collaborated with the singer on her track Boys - to wade into the row.
