Little Mix fans think Jesy Nelson solo music is imminent as they spot Spotify clue

Excited Jesy Nelson fans think the former Little Mix star's debut solo single is coming very soon as they share links of a supposed new artist profile on music streaming site Spotify.

The 30-year-old singer signed a solo record deal with Polydor Records in May 2021 and has been teasing fans with snippets of her upcoming music ever since.

On Thursday, expectant fans took to Twitter to declare that the one-time Little Mix member had been added as an artist to Spotify, taking it as a sign that new music is due any day now.

"Jesy Nelson has an artist Spotify account! She’s teasing an era and via a fan’s dms, she’s explained that she is shooting something," one excitable fan wrote while sharing a link to an as yet unverified artist page for the singer.

Another social media user also shared an unconfirmed supposed screenshot of Jesy seeming to confirm the news via a conversation with a fan on Instagram.

Sharing a screenshot of her alleged chat with the singer, fan site Jesysbabe_ wrote "SHE IS COMING!!" underneath the image of their chat with star.

The fan account has over 8000 followers, including Jesy who regularly leaves comments on the tribute posts to her.

When Jesy famously left the world's biggest girl band Little Mix last year in order to protect her mental health, she confessed that she never had any intentions of walking away from the music world completely.

Just weeks after her split from former bandmates Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall in December 2020, the 30-year-old was back in the recording studio which baffled some fans at the time.

The X Factor star spoke about the reaction to her quick return to making music in a candid interview with Cosmopolitan earlier this year.

"I feel like there have been a few people who don't understand why I left Little Mix, but am now in the studio making music," she told the magazine during a candid chat.

“I never said when I put out my statement that I was coming out of the band to never be in the public eye or perform again, or do music. I was coming out of the band because I genuinely couldn't deal with the pressure of being in a girl band."

Earlier this month, Jesy teased fans on Instagram with another hint about her highly anticipated debut single.

Filmed in a studio, the former Little Mix star posted a short video, with no audio, zooming into a pair of headphones and various other pieces of recording equipment.

Exciting loyal fans who are anticipating her next move, the star captioned the snippet: "Pending..." alongside an emoji of a monkey covering its mouth.

"I cannot wait for you guys to hear what I've been working on and to start this new chapter," Jesy told fans back in May when she first signed her solo record deal.

The Mirror has reached out to representatives for Jesy Nelson and Spotify for comment.
