Little Mix Confetti tour postponed as group stun fans with new trio photo

Little Mix stunned fans with a striking new photo of them as a trio as they revealed some sad news about their forthcoming Confetti tour.

The X Factor and Brit Award winning girl group are now just a three, following the departure of Jesy Nelson at the end of last year, with a tweet from the girl's Twitter reading: "After an amazing 9 years together Jesy has made the decision to leave Little Mix. This is an incredibly sad time for all of us but we are fully supportive of Jesy.

"We love her very much and agree that it is so important that she does what is right for her mental health and well-being.

"We are still very much enjoying our Little Mix journey and the 3 of us are not ready for it to be over."

True to their word, Jade, Perrie and Leigh-Anne are already looking ahead to the future but their plans for this year will no longer include the Confetti tour as they revealed to their legions of fans that it will be postponed until 2022.

Revealing the news on Twitter, the Shout Out To My Ex, Sweet Melody and Black Magic hitmakers posted: "You know how much we love being on the road and performing every night for you all. However, due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, we must prioritise the safety of our fans and crew and help to stop the spread.

"Therefore we’re so sad to say that the Confetti tour will be postponed to April 2022.

"All tickets will be valid for the corresponding rescheduled dates and we’re taking this chance to add an additional show for our fans in Cardiff.

The tour dates include two nights at Newcastle's Utilita Arena, which will now take place on April 15 and 16.

A full list of the new tour dates is available on the Little Mix website with tickets for the shows available from Ticketmaster.

As well as reacting to news of the tour, fans were quick to react to the picture used to announce the news of Jade, Perrie and Leigh-Anne.

Upset at Jesy being absent, one tweeted: "I just miss her :(" and another posted "With @LittleMix announcing that the #confettitour has been pushed back until 2022 (what alot of people said would happen when first got announced) is great news as confirmed that we have #LittleMix until next April at least so no worries about the rumours of a spilt"
