Little Mix concert in St Helens cancelled due to coronavirus

Pop group Little Mix have cancelled their upcoming summer tour due to the coronavirus pandemic.

This tour included a date in St Helens at the R.F.C Stadium in June.

The band announced the news today, declaring that the health and safety of their fans and crew is their top priority, reports the Mirror .

In a statement released on Twitter, Little Mix wrote: "We are so sad to announce that following the latest government advice, we have to cancel our upcoming summer tour.

"The health and safety of all our fans and crew is always our number one priority.

"Please look out for an email from your ticketing agent shortly.

"Please only contact them if you have not received an email by 5th May. Please stay safe and stay home, lots of love the girls x."

The tour had been due to kick off in June, with a performance also booked for London’s Hyde Park on July 4.

Fans have been told to wait for an email from their ticketing agency with instructions to get refunds.
