Little Mix 'cancel Brazil video shoot as crew refuse to travel over coronavirus fears'

Little Mix have reportedly scrapped plans to film their new music video in Brazil after their crew refused to fly out over coronavirus fears.

Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock were said to be heading off to South America for the shoot, but cancelled the plans a week before they planned to fly out.

The plans are said to have been changed because the X Factor-winning band's creative team didn't want to travel the 8,800km over fears they may be quarantined for two weeks on their return to the UK.

Instead, the girlband flew out to Sao Paulo, in Brazil, by themselves to perform at a festival so that they wouldn't leave fans disappointed, although Perrie was unable to make the trip due to illness.

The postponed video shoot is believed to be for the lead single from the girls' upcoming sixth album.

An insider told The Sun : "Little Mix have been working really hard on their BBC1 show The Search in recent weeks as well as putting in rehearsals for their festival show and the new video.

"But they obviously couldn't shoot anything without a crew so it was cancelled a week before they went out there. They are looking into different locations and schedules to make sure they can get brilliant visuals for their new single.

"They will be filming it somewhere else once Perrie is feeling better and the other girls have returned from Brazil. But they know they are up against the clock to make sure it is all done in time."

The ladies have been hard at work on their new BBC1 show The Search, which is due to begin next month.

The talent show will see them auditioning singers in a bid to put together a band to be their opening act on their next tour.

At their recent Brazil performance, the girls soldiered on to put on an incredible performance without Perrie.

The girls have had to perform as a three-piece on a number of occasions, and have always gone ahead with the show whenever it's been possible to avoid letting down their fans.
