Little Mix and Jesy Nelson 'cut ties' with one another ahead of tour

Little Mix and Jesy Nelson have "cut financial ties" with one another ahead of the group's big tour, it has been reported.

An insider has suggested that Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards are expected to make £5million from the gigs and, had Jesy remained as a director in the business, she would have been privy to the money as well.

The situation would have been similar to that of Victoria Beckham, who earned £1million during the band's comeback tour in 2019, despite not singing or taking part.

However, a "fair" decision was made for Jesy, 29, to no longer remain on the board as director of the firm.

A source told The Sun: "Jesy could have made megabucks if she’d have remained as a director on Little Mix’s business, Eternal Magic Touring, just like Victoria did with the Spice Girls."

The insider added that the trio are expected to make almost £5million, adding: "If Jesy had remained on board as a director of the firm she would have been privy to cash from the band’s live shows even if she didn’t sing a note."

"But this was the only fair way for everybody going forward."

The Mirror has contacted Little Mix and Jesy's reps for comment.

Jesy quit the band in December 2020 after saying that pressure being in the group had effected her mental health.

She told her 7.3million followers that she was leaving with a "heavy heart" as she reflected on the success Little Mix have enjoyed since winning The X Factor back in 2011.

While Jesy didn't appear at this year's BRIT Awards, the rest of the group gave her a shout-out on stage.

The trio have also recently released their new video, which sees Perrie and Leigh-Anne show off their baby bumps.

In the video, Perrie and Leigh-Anne are joined by bandmate Jade Thirlwell in dressing up as angels for the video, but the outfits did enough to conceal the shape of the bumps.

The Little Mix Instagram page shared the video along with a caption: "In love with this beautiful video. Shout out to the full team for turning us into angels."
