Liverpool has welcomed another food and drink market, and it’s hidden in plain sight.
Tucked away on London Road, Layers Food and Drink Market, is based on London Road, just opposite Domino’s.
The new food hall, which launched at the end of January, is home to a range of vendors, all serving something different.
Among the vendors are American Pizza Slice, along with those specialising in Chinese noodles, Taiwanese street food, loaded fries, Korean street food.
Mexican and Thai food vendors are also expected to open at Layers in the coming weeks.
A spokesperson for Layers said: “This area is where I’ve lived since I came to Liverpool to study and I’ve seen it go from a quiet area to a community filled with students and young professionals.
“There are only a few restaurants and shops for people to get food, I hope I can contribute a little bit to make this area more and more popular to benefit residents nearby.
“Even though we didn’t do any major advertisements, people have walked by and popped inside and now they’re regulars.
“Most of them are residents living nearby and I’m so glad there’s now a place to provide delicious food at a reasonable price.”
The food hall features long tables and benches, along with shelves stocked with board games for guests to enjoy for free.
Layers Food and Drink Market is open seven days a week, from 11:30am to 8pm.
