Little Grace Tucker donated 22 inches of her hair!

A little girl from Armadale has donated 22 inches of her hair and raised funds for a charity that makes wigs for children with cancer.

Grace Tucker (8) decided to go for the chop after watching a video on Facebook about the Little Princess Trust and she also raised funds to help with the costs of making up the hair pieces.

Grace’s mother, Stephanie, explained: “The video made her really upset and she decided that she wanted to help. Her hair was very long and she had only had two haircuts in her life at that point, from relatives of ours, so we went along to Dashing Dolls in Armadale and they were fantastic, putting her hair in a bobble first and preparing her for how short it was going to be.

“We are all so proud of Grace for this, she drove the full thing and pushed for me to make the appointment at the hairdressers and then decided she wanted to fundraise to cover the cost of making the wig.”

“My father in law and I have been taking raffle tickets into work and we have a Just Giving page too. So far we have raised £700.”

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs free of charge to children and young people up to the age of 24, who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other conditions.
