A little girl who suffered life-changing injuries when she was hit by a truck outside her school remains in hospital, two weeks on.
The collision, which involved a tipper truck, happened outside Knop Law Primary School in Chapel House, Newcastle, on the afternoon of Monday, September 20.
Police say the seven-year-old suffered “potentially life-changing injuries” in the incident, which happened just 10 minutes after the youngest pupils finish for the day.

The youngster was taken to hospital and today remains there.
After the incident the school’s headteacher, Liz Simpson, told of her shock and sadness.
Ms Simpson said “It is with deep sadness that I have to confirm one of our children was involved in a road traffic incident outside of our school yesterday afternoon.
“She is currently in hospital receiving treatment for serious injuries and our hearts go out to her and her family at this terrible time. The whole of the school community is in shock.”
The incident happened at around 3pm near the junction of Chadderton Drive and Hillhead Parkway.
Northumbria Police launched an investigation and officers have asked witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage, to get in touch.
