UPDATE: Jessica was found and returned home safely around two hours after going missing
A little girl has gone missing after disappearing from her back garden on Monday evening in Birkenhead.
Jessica Solomon was playing out the back of her home in Burrell Road shortly before 6pm before she was reported missing.
The 10-year-old has not been seen since and there are growing concerns she could be lost in Storeton Woods.
Massive searches are now being carried out to find her but police area appealing to the public for help.
In a statement, officers issued a description of Jessica who is believed to be wearing pink wellies, pink leggings and a navy top.
She is described as 4ft 5in tall, of slim build and has shoulder length blonde hair.
Merseyside Police said: "Please share. We're urgently looking for missing 10-year-old girl Jessica Solomon.
"Jessica was last seen at 5.40pm today (Monday 28 September) in her back garden in Burrell Road, Birkenhead.
"She may be in the Storeton Woods area and extensive searches are ongoing.
"She is white, 4ft 5in tall, slim, with shoulder length blonde hair, and wearing pink wellington boots, navy and pink leggings and a navy long sleeved top."
