Little girl finds note from stranger in Asda

A dad was blown away after his little girl found a note from a stranger in Asda.

The man was at Asda in Liscard, Wirral, yesterday with his daughter when she stumbled across a 'lost' object with a note attached to it.

It was soon clear that the mystery object, which appears to be a knitted Christmas item, was intended to be a gift to whoever found it.

The note attached read: “I am not lost, I am waiting for you.”

Writing about their unexpected find on a community Facebook page, the dad labelled the selfless stranger “the best kind of human being”.

Posting a photo of the knitted present, he wrote: “My daughter found this in Asda (Liscard) today. The best trait of a person is that of a person who goes out their way to make another smile.

“The best kind of human being.”

The act of kindness was loved by hundreds on social media, with some locals even noting that this is not the first of its kind in the area.

One local woman said she also found one of the knitted gifts before Christmas and believes it is the act of her local church who "hides them around for people to find".

Others flocked to the post to comment on how "lovely" the random gesture was and how they love to see kindness like this in the local area.

One person wrote: “Beautiful, spreading a little happiness. Well done whoever did this x”

Another local woman said: “Random acts of kindness!”

A third person commented: “So sweet!”
