A little girl was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer after her mum spotted a 'ghostly' white glow on her eye in a photo.
Little Isabelle had to have one of her eyes removed after her family was told she had retinobastoma, a genetic condition which can be fatal if not treated.
Her mum Kellie Perren was growing concerned after seeing the glow in her daughter's eye, but it kept disappearing and nobody else could see it.
But photos of the little girl clearly showed the worrying sign, and eventually lead to her diagnoses.
Kellie told Channel Seven News : "I couldn't explain it - I kept asking people if they could see it but no one could see it.
"It was like a ghost went really quick, like you couldn't get a good look at it."
Doctors found that Isabelle had tumours in both her eyes and her left eye had to be removed. She now has a prosthetic.
Despite the challenges Isabelle, who is now five, is doing well and her mum is very proud.
She said: "She can read, she can write, and she can still learn."
But she now wants to warn other parents about the warning signs.
These include an unusual white reflection in the pupil, a squint and a chance in iris colour.
She said: "Don't wait for somebody else to see it. Go and get it checked."
In some cases the cancer may cause lose of vision and the eye may become inflamed.
About 45 children are diagnosed with retinoblastoma in the UK each year and it's most common in under-fives.
