When Monkey was an infant primate, pester power amounted to consistently screeching for a banana. Nowadays pester power takes place in cyberspace. Children's demands for the latest must-have toys are being translated into parents' campaigns via Facebook. Since new CBeebies series Little Charley Bear, narrated by James Corden, launched in January, the BBC and producers Chapman Entertainment have been receiving requests online every day for Little Charley Bear teddies. Tesco has duly obliged and launched a range of Little Charley Bears in its shops. Monkey can bearly wait.
