Little Britain set for comeback says David Walliams

Hit BBC sketch show Little Britain looks set for a comeback with co-creator David Walliams saying there will 'definitely be some more'.

New episodes of the show last appeared on TV 13 years ago but David Walliams and Matt Lucas returned for a one-off Brexit special on the radio last year.

The reaction was so strong the pair have been inspired to create more episodes.

Walliams told the  Sun : "I would say there will definitely be some more Little Britain coming. I can't say when exactly but at the right time and place. It was fun coming back for radio because that's where we started.

"We had to put it together quite quickly as it was about Brexit. Plus no one expected us to come back on the radio.

"You would have expected Comic Relief or a big live tour. The reaction was great, which was encouraging."

Little Britain started on the radio in 2000 and moved to TV in 2002, running for three series and attracting up to nine million viewers per episode.

The sketches included a man who believes he is the only gay person in a village which is actually full of LGBT residents, a Thai bride, a posh woman repulsed by foreigners, a very specific shopper, a teenage chav girl and a 'disabled' man with his carer.

Williams said it was a celebration of Britain, rather than mocking any minorities or individuals.
