Little boy in tears until toyshop staff step in

A little boy was in tears until a kind toyshop staff member stepped in to help.

The mum of the young boy said she and her son had visited The Entertainer shop in Cheshire Oaks, Ellesmere Port when her son became upset due to being 'overwhelmed.'

However, the mum said a staff member noticed this and came over and calmed the little boy down.

The staff member showed the young boy where the 'post box' was so he could write to Father Christmas.

She also got the boy a toy catalogue so he could 'pick his list' on what he wanted for Christmas.

The mum said her little boy left the shop 'very happy' and wanted to thank the staff member for her 'kindness'.

Posting on a local Facebook page, the mum said: "A big thank you to the lovely lady that works at The Entertainer.

"My little boy gets overwhelmed sometimes. The lady noticed this and came over and calmed him down, showed him their post box to write to Santa and got him a toy catalogue to pick his list for Santa.

"My little boy left the shop very happy picking his list thank you for your kindness."

The Facebook post received more than 300 likes as people praised the toyshop staff member for her kind gesture.

One person commented: "Above and beyond of call of duty, wonderful lady."

Another person added: "Just the type of person you need in a kids toy shop.

"In fact any shop sometimes."

Another person also said: "Lovely to hear this comment.

"I'm not sure all shop workers understand their role in making the success of a shop.

"We need to give them more pay and more recognition.

"It takes a particular kind of person to be customer focused."
