Little boy, 4, who was found alone has been reunited with his family

Police who were hunting for the parents of a four-year-old boy after he was found wandering alone, have tracked them down.

The youngster was discovered in Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire, earlier today.

The boy has short, curly hair and is wearing grey joggers and a white t-shirt.

Lincolnshire Police officers were asking for the public's help to find the boy's parents, after the tot was found on Quebec Road.

The force wrote on Twitter today: "We have found a little boy, aged 4, in #Mablethorpe on Quebec Road."

Lincolnshire Police added: "He has short, curly hair and is wearing grey joggers and a white t-shirt."

The tweet added: "Please help us find his parent / guardian who are no doubt distressed and searching for him."

"Call 101 with incident number 223 of today."

They later thanked everyone who helped with the appeal, saying they were "pleased to report that we have now reunited him with his family".
