Four puppies have been stolen from their mum during a burglary at a house in Aberavon.
The 11-week-old French Bulldogs were taken between 6.45pm and 9.15pm after the thieves smashed their way into the property.
Owner, 25-year-old Nathan Ball, said his family were heartbroken and he has offered a £1,000 reward for the puppies' return.
"We were in all day and left the house at roughly 7pm to collect the kids from a relative's house. We returned at about 9pm to my back door glass smashed and the pups missing," said Mr Ball.
"It’s heartbreaking having our kids (three daughters, aged between seven and 10) asking questions like 'when are the pups coming home' and also crying."
Mr Ball said the puppies' mum, Luna, was wandering around the house, trying to look for her puppies.
The litter includes one male and three females.
The male is described as black and tan with a slight white mark on his tail. One female is black and tan, one is blue and tan and one is cream or white with no tail.
All four puppies had family homes arranged for the future.
A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "We were called to reports of a burglary in which four French bulldog puppies were stolen from an address in Aberavon.
"The dogs were stolen sometime between about 6.45pm and 9.15pm on Sunday, February 16.
"Anyone with any information, who might have seen anything suspicious, or who is offered an animal for sale, is urged to call police on 101, quoting reference 2000058668.
"They can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
