As protests continue in Belarus over the widely discredited August election, Lithuania persists in pressing its EU neighbours to impose sanctions on Belarussian figures.
Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius tells France 24 there must also be investigations into rights abuses in Belarus, as well as into the poisoning of Russian dissident Alexei Navalny.
On Brexit, Linkevicius calls on the British government to "act responsibly" after ministers in Westminster admitted they were preparing a new law that would contravene part of the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement negotiated and signed by Boris Johnson just months ago. He also denies British claims that the EU is threatening to "blockade" Northern Ireland food exports.
