‘Listen up Levy’ - Tottenham fans are saying the same thing amid Harry Kane transfer comments

Tottenham striker Harry Kane has admitted that he could leave the club should they not match his ambition and show enough progression.

The England captain has been a key player for the club under both former head coach Mauricio Pochettino and current boss Jose Mourinho.

Kane has scored 181 goals in 278 appearances in a Spurs shirt since breaking into the first-team set-up during the 2013/14 season.

He has since gone from strength to strength winning the Premier League golden boot on two occasions.

Tottenham: The season so far

However, a disappointing season for the team have left Spurs fighting to retain their place in the Champions League for 2020/21, with Pochettino being shown the door back in November.

While Kane had some spare time on his hands amid the coronavirus suspension of the Premier League, he made an admission about his future in a Q&A with Jamie Redknapp.

“I love Spurs, I’ll always love Spurs, but it’s one of them things I’ve always said if I don’t feel like we’re progressing as a team or going in the right direction, I’m not someone to stay there just for the sake of it,” he said.

“I’m an ambitious player. I want to become a top top player, so it all depends on what happens as a team and how we progress as a team.

“So, it’s not a definite I’m going to stay there forever but it’s not a no either.”

Following the comments, Spurs fans have taken to social media to give their reaction, and most believe that one particular person is at fault.

Kane is currently in recovery from hamstring surgery after picking up the injury at the start of the year.

However, the suspension of fixtures means that the striker may be able to take part in more games than originally expected.

The England man will be looking to take the opportunity to add to his 17 goals in all competitions so far this season.
