Listen to Slaves' new single Cheer up London

Slaves
Truant twosome … Slaves

Slaves are Isaac Holman and Laurie Vincent – the two-man punk powerhouse described by the Guardian as “what the Black Keys might have sounded like had they been raised on Shane Meadows films – wry, suburban disaffection, like Sleaford Mods with less swearing; a hint of Madness and a bit of vaudeville too.”

The truant twosome from Tunbridge Wells are about to release their new single, Cheer Up London, on 1 June. As you can tell from the title, it’s a belligerent take on modern British society, snarky, snide and stuffed full of cynicism.

So, if you fancy exorcising some of your post-work venom, and you’re into songs about bouncing pay-cheques and death, take a listen to the track below and let us know what you think!
