Mane’s 36th-minute strike put Liverpool 1-0 in front in the first match at Anfield with supporters since December.
If the Reds go on to win the game they will almost certainly book their place in next season’s Champions League.
Liverpool went into the final match of the season ahead of Leicester City in fourth place after a nine-game unbeaten run.

But they had to withstand some early scares against Palace with Andros Townsend in particular wasting a golden opportunity.
Yet the tension was lifted nine minutes before half-time when Mane pounced to score in front of the Anfield Road end.
