Listen to Ohio State defensive lineman Robert Landers talk about his struggle with mental illness

It can be hard for someone dealing with mental illness to go get the help they need — especially when that person is a 6-1, 285 lb. football player for a major college football program.

Welcome to Ohio State defensive lineman Robert Landers’ world. He has struggled with mental illness through much of his life, and even lost his father to a shooting at the young age of 10 yrs. old. To say that it has affected his life dramatically would be an understatement.

With the recent mass-shooting event that happened in his home town of Dayton, Landers has made it a point to reach out to that community and to use his platform to raise awareness of mental illness and the stigma attached to getting the help one deserves, and needs.

Good on him.
