OK, so it’s not quite every Friday. Fans were expecting Kanye West’s latest track No More Parties in LA to drop at the end of last week; instead it arrived a few days later. But is anyone really complaining? After all, Yeezy was busy in Italy, making some no doubt extremely important changes to his fashion collection. And besides, this first collaboration between Kanye and Kendrick is pretty good.
Over a sample of Junie Morrison’s Suzie Thundertussy, Kanye and Kendrick run riot over the Los Angeles party scene: “Liquor pouring and niggas swarming your section with erection / Smoke in every direction, middle finger pedestrians / R&B singers and lesbians, rappers and managers / Music and iPhone cameras.”
The weekly release of songs are building up to the release of West’s new album, Swish, which is due on 11 February.
