Listen to emotional moment woman scoops £102k in Clyde 1 Cash Register

Glaswegians were left gripped to the radio last night listening in to the incredibly emotional moment a woman won over £100,000.

Mary is £102k richer this morning after winning the life-changing prize in last night's Clyde 1 Cash Register.

DJ Garry Spence shared a clip of the heartwarming exchange, which had Mary and the DJ himself almost reduced to tears.

Mary was in shock at receiving the call, at first fearing it was a wind-up.

Yet even further panic ensued when Garry assured her this was the real thing, so much so that Mary's son-in-law had to join the call to calm her down.

Heartbreakingly, Mary revealed that she lost her beloved husband to covid in October as she shared with Garry just how difficult the last two months had been, before saying: "I can't tell you what this means."

Garry then asked: "How happy would would he be to see you sorted out?", with Mary responding: "He'd be ecstatic, absolutely ecstatic".

The Glasgow DJ said he'd never been this happy for a winner and has since Tweeted about the 'most emotional call he'd ever had': "Lost for words. So many messages. Well done to Mary.

"No amount of money can bring back loved ones but what a difference it has clearly made.

"The Cash Register. Bloody hell."

Congratulations to Mary, a thoroughly deserving winner.
