Listen to a track from Roy Orbison's 'lost' album

Shades of the 60s … Roy Orbison
Shades of the 60s … Roy Orbison

If you still haven’t found the perfect Christmas gift for your bequiffed, bespectacled family member or friend, One of the Lonely Ones, a “lost” Roy Orbison album recorded in 1969 and never before released, should do the trick.

Universal are releasing two worldwide packages on 4 December – the other being an extensive MGM Years box set – each available in CD, 180g vinyl and digitally.

Recorded between January and August 1969, One of the Lonely Ones begins with a version of You’ll Never Walk Alone, the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic that charted for Britain’s Gerry and the Pacemakers in 1965. Ahead of its release, take a listen and let us know your thoughts.
