LISTEN: Jags Wire discusses Lambo’s extension, Bortles upcoming release and more

The Jags Wire duo of myself and Phil Smith took to the airwaves for the first time since the NFL season concluded and tackled various important topics concerning the Jacksonville Jaguars’ offseason.

The first topic we opened the show with was kicker Josh Lambo’s extension and why it was huge for the Jags to retain him as one of their only notable free agents. Afterward, we discussed when would be the right time for the Jags to release Blake Bortles, who would save the team $4.5 million with a pre-June release, or $9.5 million if the team designates him to a post-June release.

To close the show, we discussed what veterans on the Jags’ roster should be kept and release and also explored the possibility of trading for Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen if he was available on draft day.
