Shoppers can take advantage of extended opening hours at Eldon Square just before the start of lockdown.
A number of outlets in the Newcastle shopping centre will be keeping their doors open until 8pm on Wednesday, November 4 ahead of the new national restrictions coming into force just after midnight which will force the closure of the non-essential retail sector until December 2.
In the case of Fenwick, which has an entrance in Eldon Square, the shutting of its doors on Wednesday will be even later - 9pm.

And those who work up an appetite with a last-minute shopping spree might be glad to know that restaurants will remain open until 10pm.
Customers are being advised to check directly with their chosen stores before going in case stores choose to alter their planned shopping hours.
This is also advised in light of the fact that the Eldon Square website might not be currently up to date given that the shopping centre took on new management - MAPP - in October.
Here's the information to date for Eldon Square which has social distancing measures in place and is closely monitoring visitors numbers. And watch this space for upcoming information about which of the centre's stores will be remaining open during the lockdown period.
