List of flights in and out of Dublin Airport today - as planes continue to head to Lanzarote and other sun destinations

Flights to Lanzarote, Abu Dhabi and Tenerife will all depart Dublin Airport today amid the clamp-down on international travel.

On Tuesday the Government introduced tighter travel restrictions and extended Ireland’s third lockdown until March 5.

The new measures include mandatory quarantine at a designated facility for people who arrive in Ireland without a negative PCR test taken in the past 72 hours.

These are the destinations that people are flying to from Dublin Airport today: Edinburgh, Newark, Abu Dhabi, Chicago, Lanzarote, Kerry, Dubai, Donegal, Amsterdam, New York JFK, Doha and Tenerife.

Travellers arriving without a negative test could also face a fine of 2,500 euro or a six-month prison sentence.

While visa-free short-term travel from South Africa and South America is suspended until at least March 5.

These are the spots where planes are arriving into Dublin Airport from today: Kerry, Donegal, London Stansted, London Gatwick, Abu Dhabi, Amsterdam, London Heathrow, Paris Charles De Gaulle, Dubai, Edinburgh, Doha, Lisbon, Istanbul and Frankfurt.

Dublin Airport have said that UK Govt rules state that passengers arriving in England from the Republic of Ireland will be exempt from the requirement to have a negative COVID test, and will therefore NOT need a test.

Around 800 people arrived at Dublin Airport on Tuesday, Taoiseach Micheal Martin said.

He told the Fianna Fáil Parliamentary Party that nearly half, 397, were returning from holiday destinations.

Some 542 of the arrivals were Irish citizens.
