Lisburn Distillery appoint Johnny Clapham as new manager

Lisburn Distillery have announced that former player Johnny Clapham has been appointed as first team manager.

Clapham comes in following the resignation of Stephen Hatfield, with the Whites currently lying eighth in the Premier Intermediate League.

New boss Clapham played for Distillery for four years, winning the old First Division championship and Ulster Cup.

Since retiring as a player he has coached at all levels of the game from youth football right the way through to his most recent position where he was assistant manager under Warren Feeney at Ards.

Clapham is the current holder of an UEFA A Licence coaching badge.

"Clearly given the current climate Johnny will not be able to meet players or back room staff for a few weeks until the resumption of training, matches etc but we look forward to welcoming him fully on board once normality returns," the club said.
