A Lisburn manufacturing company has created 132 new jobs as part of a significant investment aimed at growing its business.
Creative Composites is spending £11m on new machinery to boost its output of plastic composite products, particularly aimed at the automotive and rail sectors.
Half of the new jobs are already in place while the remaining positions will be for production operatives, engineering and managerial positions.
In total, the new jobs will generate over £2.7m each year in additional salaries and has been supported by £1.5m of Invest NI funding.
Jonathan Holmes, managing director, said: “The applications for composites are endless and we are focused on expanding our business in key sectors including automotive and rail.
“Invest Northern Ireland’s support was critical to investing in the very best plant and machinery that we need to achieve our ambitions.
“We are excited about this growth phase in the business and are making good progress with recruiting additional staff to support our continued development.”
Among the new technology installed as part of the investment is the UK’s largest compression mould press which will further enhance Creative Composites’ position at the leading edge of what can be achieved with composites.
