Lisbon Lion Bertie Auld was said to be in great form as he had a sing song with John Hartson, Hollywood actor Gianni Capaldi, and Charlie and The Bhoys.
Scots born actor Gianni, who now makes movies in Hollywood and lives in Las Vegas, made a point of visiting Hoops legend Bertie after hearing rumours that he wasn't keeping so well on some Celtic fan sites.
River Runs Red talent Gianni, who is currently in Scotland to work on a new film, visited Bertie in Strathaven alongside John Hartson and Charlie and The Bhoys.
He said: "We went to visit Bertie to cheer him up and we sang three Celtic songs and he was telling jokes.
"He's definitely alive and kicking, and at 83 he's sharp as a tack. He's a lovely man and has always been great with my family and I.
A video of Bertie enjoying 'Bertie Auld' a song about himself, emerged on the Charlie and The Bhoys Twitter page and Bertie can be heard joking about Scotlands victory "54 years ago' No wonder they call me Auld."
After enjoying Charlie's song, Bertie said: "I've been in America with Jim and the group and I promise you you've never seen turnouts like it in your life.
"It was brilliant. The big thing about it all over the world, they all knew the songs."
Following their meeting Gianni, who recently filmed with fellow Celtic fan Bruce Willis, told his followers on Twitter: "Some great #Celtic news, after all the rumors about Bertie Auld, visited him yesterday with @JohnHartson10 @charlieandthebh & Bertie was in top form singing away and telling his usual jokes!
The best football story teller around."
