Lisa Marie Presley wants to terminate her marriage to husband Michael Lockwood once and for all.
The 53-year-old singer and daughter of Elvis Presley has filed new court documents, obtained by TMZ, asking a judge to declare her single, despite the fact she filed for divorce in June 2016.
She has been separated from her estranged husband for nearly five years, but according to the latest documents, he 'refuses' to end their marriage.
Lisa says there is no hope to reconcile with Michael and is requesting a bifurcation, which means 'separating marital status from other divorce issues'.
If the judge grants her request, Lisa and Michael will both be deemed single in the eyes of the law, while details of their divorce are finalised.
The mother-of-four is taking the steps as she wants to 'move forward with my life'.
Lisa and Michael married in 2006 and were together for a decade, until the singer filed for divorce from him.
The former couple share 12-year-old twins Finley and Harper together.
Back in November, Lisa appeared in court at a hearing as part of the divorce process to discuss who will get custody of their daughters.
According to MailOnline, in court documents, Michael accused Lisa of trying to 'drive a wedge' between him and the twins by using a Church of Scientology tactic called 'Fair Gaming'.
Meanwhile, Lisa has been married four times and has four kids.
In 1988 she married Danny Keough and they are parents to daughter Riley Keough and late son Benjamin.
The pair later divorced in 1994, with Lisa tying the knot with Michael Jackson.
She then got divorced from Michael and married Nicolas Cage in 2002, before their marriage ended and she married Michael Lockwood in 2006.
They separated and filed for divorce in 2016.
