Lisa Kudrow teases Friends reunion details as she's already shot some scenes

Lisa Kudrow revealed that she has already shot some of the scenes set to feature in the much-anticipated Friends reunion.

The 57-year-old actress - who played Phoebe Buffay in the hit show - is due to reunite with her Friends co-stars later in 2021, over one year after the comeback episode was announced.

Speaking to Rob Lowe on his podcast Literally! With Rob Lowe, Lisa confirmed that the reunion is definitely going ahead because she's already filmed 'a little something' for it.

The actress' remarks follow after filming faced numerous delays as a result of the ongoing pandemic.

"There's different facets to it, and we already shot packages of things," Lisa recently told Rob.

"I pre-shot something already so we're definitely doing it, because I already shot a little something."

The actress then went on to detail that the structure of the reunion is not scripted, and will instead feature all the actors coming together for a chat.

"It's not a reboot," Lisa added.

"It's not like a scripted thing, we're not portraying our characters.

Friends ran for 236 episodes between 1994 and 2004 (Instagram)

"It's us getting together, which just doesn't happen a lot and has never happened in front of other people since 2004 when we stopped."

Lisa's discussion about the reunion came just over two months after her former co-star Matthew Perry took to social media to update fans about the filming schedule.

"Friends reunion being rescheduled for the beginning of March. Looks like we have a busy year coming up. And that's the way I like it!" he told his followers.

The special one-off show was originally due to launch in May 2020, with the cast of Matthew, Lisa and co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer being involved.

However, as with the majority of productions in 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic jeopardised plans and meant that filming had to be delayed.

A rescheduled filming date was set for August 2020 however there had been no new update about when the production would air until Perry made his announcement.

Friends fans can breathe a sigh of relief in the knowledge that their favourite characters will hopefully reunite this year.
