A 40-year old man accused of causing the death of a North Belfast mother-of-two by dangerous driving expressed his remorse to her family on the first anniversary of the fatal incident.
Martin Alexander Nelson appeared at Belfast Magistrates Court today (Thursday) where he was returned for trial on charges arising from the death of Lisa Gow.

Solicitor Pearse McDermott is representing Nelson and told the court his client was "very conscious tomorrow is the first anniversary of the incident ... and he wants to express remorse to the family of the deceased".

Nelson, from Ardoyne Road in Belfast, has been charged with 11 offences linked to the fatal collision - including causing Ms Gow's death by dangerous driving, aggravating vehicle taking causing death, and driving whilst disqualified.
When he was asked if he understood the nature of the charges he faced, Nelson replied "yes."
A prosecutor then said there was a prima facie case to answer, and the accused was returned for trial at Belfast Crown Court, on a date to be fixed.
No application was made for bail and Nelson was remanded back into custody by District Judge Alan Whyte.
