Two people have been arrested in connection with the disappearance and murder of Lisa Dorrian.
Detectives have renewed the search for the Co Down woman who was last seen after a party in the Ballyhalbert area in 2005.
This morning, a PSNI spokesman said: "Detectives investigating the murder of Lisa Dorrian have made two arrests.
"A 49 year old man and a 34 year old woman were arrested today in the Newtownards and Ballyhalbert areas on suspicion of murder.
"They have been taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite for questioning."
The latest search for Lisa Dorrian, 25, started at a disused RAF airfield in Ballyhalbert, Co Down on Monday morning with a 40-strong search team comprised of specially trained police officers and soldiers.
Lisa, from Bangor , was last reported seen at 5am on February 28, 2005 after attending a house party at the nearby caravan park. Her handbag and belongings were discovered inside the caravan.
The last person who reported seeing her alive was then 17-year-old Mark Lovett. He told police at the time how he and Lisa fled the caravan around 5am when they heard noises and saw flashing lights outside.
Shop assistant Lisa was never seen alive again and her family say their lives have been ruined not only by her loss, but by the fact they have not been allowed to bury her as her killers remain protected.
