Lisa Armstrong is living on cloud nine in her new romance with James Green and too happy ‘to care’ about ex-husband Ant McPartlin’s upcoming wedding.
The 43-year-old make-up expert has been dating 37-year-old electrician James for the past year and often shares snaps of themselves looking loved up together on social media.
Ex-hubby Ant – who disgraced himself in 2018 when he was involved in a drink-drive car crash which left a young girl hospitalised, and had dumped loyal wife Lisa after she stood by him during an addiction crisis – is due to wed current fiancée Anne-Marie Corbett in August.
Lisa is said to be happy for her 45-year-old ex, hopes his new marriage will ‘draw a line’ under their past, and is blissfully happy in her current relationship herself.
A source told OK!: “Lisa is too happy in her own life to care what Ant is doing.
“She’s very happy with James. Despite what she went through with Ant, she’s not put off marriage.”
It seems wedding bells could ring again for Lisa too at a future point.
The source claims: ”She’d be happy to get married again and feels excited about the future. She feels a proposal will happen with James but she’s not pushing for it. It’ll happen when it happens.”
The source added: “She’s relieved Ant is going to be married to someone else. She hopes that will mark a fresh start for everyone and draw a line under their rocky past.”
Lisa and Ant’s break up proved controversial when their marriage collapsed in 2018.
The end of their 12-year marriage was announced after Ant himself declared he had put Lisa “through hell” after he turned to drink and drugs while struggling with addiction.
Lisa stood by him as he entered rehab and while his ITV career was put on pause.
However, she was rewarded for her loyalty by being brutally dumped – before Ant’s life and career took a downward turn as he was behind the wheel of his car in a drink-drive smash in March 2018.
He also swiftly moved on with 43-year-old PA Anne-Marie soon after the end of his marriage to Lisa was made public, and he proposed to his assistant in December last year.
Ant's relationship with Anne-Marie appeared to be a further betrayal of Lisa's trust, however, as she hit out at the match on Twitter when their relationship went public.
She wrote at the time: “Yeah My Friend and OUR Pa who I let into OUR home.”
