Lisa Armstrong is reportedly terrified that her ex Ant McPartlin will propose to his new girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett over Christmas.
The makeup artist, 43, split from the TV presenter in 2017 and was left devastated when he moved on with their former PA and her friend Anne-Marie.
She's now said to be preparing herself for an announcement of their engagement over the festive season, despite the fact that her divorce from Ant hasn't yet been finalised.
A source close to Lisa told The Sun Online : "Lisa feels as if every time something good happens right now Ant manages to ruin it.
"She is preparing herself for an announcement in the New Year that Ant and Anne Marie are engaged.
"She knows it'll be crushing but she's anticipating it which she hopes won't be as much of a blow if it does.
"Her sole focus is on getting through Christmas and looking after her mum, Linda. For Lisa her feelings come second – that's just who she is."
Mirror Online has contacted reps for Lisa for comment.
Lisa has reportedly splashed out £40,000 on a Christmas family getaway to Mexico, while Ant and Anne-Marie spend the big day with her children at home in the UK.
Ant and Lisa are making little progress in their divorce.
It is now looking increasingly likely their £62million break-up will be settled in court - potentially leading to full exposure of what went on behind closed doors.
Ant reportedly refuses to agree anything until Lisa signs a gagging order.
But Lisa has told pals her silence cannot be bought.
