Lisa Armstrong swerves awkward run-in with ex Ant McPartlin at NTAs

It was another big night for Ant and Dec at the National Television Awards as they took home the gong for Best TV Presenter for the 19th year in a row.

But one person who wasn't there to celebrate with them was Ant McPartlin's ex Lisa Armstrong, who opted not to attend the awards do in London on Tuesday night.

Lisa works as a makeup artist behind-the-scenes on Strictly Come Dancing, but opted to celebrate the show's win for Best Talent Show at home.

The 43-year-old took to Twitter the morning after to congratulate the team on their big win.

She retweeted a picture of the whole Strictly team on the dancefloor with a message of congratulations.

Lisa wrote: "Yay!!! Super proud... well done team.. xxx."

Ant and Dec's award came as a surprise to no one, but the pair admitted their fear that they might not always take home the prize.

Giving their acceptance speech, Ant said: "On the way in we had our chat about this being the year we don't win. It's been a great run, we're so lucky to do what we do. Then you go and do this again.

"Thank you. We are more grateful and humble as the years go on."

Dec added: "Thank you. It never gets easier here. If anything you feel more and more sick. Thank you to everyone who voted. Hopefully see you next year."

Lisa and Ant split in 2018 after 11 years of marriage, but they have only recently come close to sorting out their divorce settlement.

She is said to have been handed more than half of Ant's money and their £6million house in Chiswick as their lengthy divorce proceedings reportedly came to an end.

Lisa has declined to comment on the exact amount she was awarded in the divorce settlement and branded the reports "nonsense".
