Ant McPartlin 's ex-wife Lisa Armstrong has reportedly splashed out £40,000 on a Christmas family getaway to Mexico.
According to The Sun , the makeup artist, 43, has taken her mum and six relatives abroad for their first Christmas without her dad Derek.
Derek, 71, passed away in May following a battle with cancer.
A source said Lisa and her loved ones decided that they needed some time away for Christmas after Derek's death, and has splashed out on the lavish Mexican getaway.
The family reportedly left Heathrow on Friday and a source told the publication: “It’s been a very difficult year for all of them since Derek died.
"Lisa wanted everyone to be together this Christmas and thought it would help if they all had something to look forward to.
“It won’t be easy without him but at least they will all be together.”
It comes as Lisa recently sparked romance rumours after she was , who was revealed to be music industry merchandising executive Jeremy Hewitt.
Lisa has been moving on since the breakdown of her marriage to Ant, 44.
Make-up artist Lisa, 43, is making little progress in her divorce.
It is now looking increasingly likely their £62million break-up will be settled in court - potentially leading to full exposure of what went on behind closed doors.
The pair are in deadlock over a £62million financial settlement.
Sources have blamed Ant's booze battle, gruelling work schedules and the two stars simply growing apart for their relationship crumbling.
Ant, now living with his ex-PA Anne-Marie Corbett, refuses to agree anything until Lisa signs a gagging order.
Lisa has told pals her silence cannot be bought.
Another source claimed: “Lisa is pretty relaxed about it. What will be, will be.
“It’s been a tough few years but she’s back on her feet.”
Lisa has been trying to move on with her life since finding out Ant was dating her former close friend and personal assistant.
Lisa was this month awarded a Royal Television Society Craft Award for her work on Strictly Come Dancing .
