Lisa Armstrong flaunts bizarre socks with Piers Morgan's FACE on after he blasts Ant

Lisa Armstrong made a bold fashion statement on Wednesday as she flaunted a pair of socks with Piers Morgan's face on.

The Strictly makeup artist showed her love for the controversial Good Morning Britain host – who has publicly defended her in the past amid Ant McPartlin drama – by wearing his fan merchandise for all to see.

Crossing her legs and snapping the bright orange socks for Twitter while her gorgeous dog Hurley sniffed at them uncertainly, Lisa wrote: "Just a chilling with my mucker @piersmorgan.

"Even Hurls is thinking this is a fashion Faux par!!!(sic)".

The socks were met with a mixed reception in the comments, with one follower writing: "OMG!! I need a pair of these, where did you get them from?"

While another added: "Lmao, he'll love them. But I think Hurley is right xx".

A third savagely wrote: "I wouldnt lower myself to wear that vile excuse on anything. Gorgeous doggy though".

Lisa's bold socks come as Piers has publicly backed her on many occasions since her split from Saturday Night Takeaway star Ant, while also being outspoken in his criticism of Dec's presenting partner.

Lisa Armstrong looks glum as Ant McPartlin returns to TV on Britain's Got Talent

When Ant gave a tell-all interview in January, in which he gushed over his new girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett, Piers was the first to slam it as "hurtful".

He went on to brand Lisa a "lovely lady," online, prompting her to reply with a string of kiss emojis.

It isn't just Ant's split from Lisa that got Piers' tongue wagging, as he also had a lot of opinions about the Geordie presenter bagging an NTA after taking time away from the spotlight.

"Imagine, Britain, if you think that is a reasonable way to conduct the awards season business. If it is, I'm taking next year off, I'm going to walk my dog," he said at the time.
