Lisa Armstrong bags judging role on new series of BBC make-up show Glow Up

Lisa Armstrong is following in her ex Ant McPartlin's footsteps by stepping in-front of the camera.

The Strictly Come Dancing make-up artist, 42, has scooped up a role as a guest judge on BBC three's Glow Up - fronted by Stacey Dooley.

The professional cosmetologist is going to appear on the second series of the show that sees aspiring make-up artists compete, alongside judges Val Garden and Dominic Skinner, according to The Sun.

A source shared: "When Lisa was with Ant she very much took the back seat. He was the TV star and a career on screen didn't massively appeal to her.

"But she has been truly scooped up by the BBC and her Strictly family so when this offer cam through to be a guest judge on Stacey's show Glow Up, and it was the Beeb, she jumped at the chance."

It comes as Lisa has been throwing herself into work behind the scenes on Strictly as she tries to distract herself from another horrible year.

She and estranged husband Ant McPartlin are staging divorce talks as their bitter split rumbles on, despite them being granted a decree nisi last October.

They were set to come face-to-face for the first time this year, after Ant went public with his new relationship with their PA Anne-Marie Corbett three months after announcing he and Lisa were separating.

They were supposed to meet last November at London's Royal Courts of Justice but he failed to show and was ticked off by the judge.

"Ant is really keen on drawing a line under everything and moving on with his life. The meeting is part of that process," an insider told the Sunday Mirror earlier this month.

"At the end of the day, he is really in love with Anne-Marie and just wants to get the divorce over and done with.

"They are both adults and it's hopeful things are resolved soon."

The warring exes have been through a rocky time since their split, with Lisa left reeling when Ant revealed he'd started a relationship with her friend Anne-Marie.

She was then dropped from her job as a freelance makeup artist on Britain's Got Talent when bosses ruled it would be "untenable" for her and Ant to work together.

But she's been making the most of her Strictly work and has already befriended the celebrities who make up the all-new line-up.
