Lip reader shares Princess Kate's excited two-word remark to Charlotte in Muppets sketch

The Coronation Concert saw some unexpected guests take to the stage last night, with the iconic characters from The Muppets surprising crowds and delighting fans.

Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog stole the show when they interrupted Notting Hill actor Hugh Bonneville halfway through his presenting for a fun skit.

While the King and Queen may have looked slightly baffled at first, William and Kate could be seen cracking up at the jokes and making comments to their kids, Charlotte and George.

Princess Charlotte couldn't hide her smile as Miss Piggy made her advances on Hugh, while George covered his face as he laughed at the bizarre encounter.

An expert lip reader has revealed what the Prince and Princess of Wales thought of the segment, when Miss Piggy asked Hugh if he was single.

Jacqui Press told the Daily Mail that Kate particularly loved the sketch, exclaiming: "That's funny!" as she sat next to her daughter Charlotte.

William was especially amused by Hugh's quip, when he called the Muppets character a 'pig in a dress' - and the Prince repeated it under his breath with a laugh.

It was a star-studded line up for the celebratory gig at Windsor Castle, with the likes of Katy Perry, Take That, Lionel Richie and Andrea Bocelli taking to the stage.

Despite the likes of Kylie Minogue, Adele and Harry Styles reportedly turning down the chance to belt out a tune for the newly crowned King and Queen, Lionel Richie and more ensured Charles and around 20,000 members of the public still got to enjoy an evening of live music.

Hollywood actor Tom Cruise took to the skies for his cameo at the Coronation Coronation, with the Top Gun star sharing his message for King Charles from the cockpit of his own plane he was flying.

While speaking to camera, Tom told Charles: "Pilot to pilot, Your Majesty, you can be my wingman any time."

William also took to the stage to pay tribute to his newly-crowned dad and tell the unelected head of state how proud his family are of him.

The Prince began his speech this evening with a dad joke, referencing headliner Lionel Richie and promising not to "go on all night long", before sharing an emotional tribute to his own father.

When her dad appeared on stage, eight-year-old Charlotte perked up immediately, looking excited and gesturing to her brother to look, pointing over to the stage.

George, amusingly, didn't look quite as impressed to see his dad up there.

Their mum, Kate, also was 'shining' throughout and fans loved how 'proud' she looked as her husband took to the stage for his speech.

She was spotted laughing at his cheeky joke and beaming at him from the Royal box.
